Information for Prospective Performers

Thanks for asking about performance opportunities at the 2010 Champlain Valley Folk Festival, which is scheduled to take place on July 30, 31 and August 1, 2010 at the Waterfront Park in Burlington, Vermont.

As you are probably aware, the Champlain Valley Folk Festival, which is organized entirely by an all-volunteer staff with a distinctly limited budget, focuses primarily on folk-related music and dance with roots in Vermont’s Champlain Valley – Celtic, French-Canadian, English, old-time, traditional songs and ballads, etc. – but when possible tries to present other types of music, including bluegrass, blues, Cajun, contemporary folk and international.

Due to the large number of submissions we receive, we are not able to respond individually to those performers not selected. If you have not been contacted by April 15, 2010, please assume that we were not able to fit you into the 2010 Festival lineup. Thank you for your interest.
